Gunwale Rubber is a product used on the edges of boats, this product is specifically designed for an edge where two surfaces meet together. 

The middle of the gunwale rubber is a ribbed section which is used to grip the edges, in most cases you do need to use screws or adhesives to fix the product. 

Gunwale End and Corner Caps are also available.

Product Installation: 

The product can be installed by direct fixing with a screw or by the application of a Marine Grade Adhesive. 

To assist with installation, the product can be heated to 60 Degrees Celsius in an air circulation oven for a MINIMUM of 60 minutes and a MAXIMUM of 75 minutes.

NOTE 1: When direct fixing a Marine Grade Stainless Steel product must be used

NOTE 2: Heatproof gloves must be worn when handling the heated product

Product Storage:

The product should be stored out of direct sunlight and protected from dirt, dust etc.

Maintenance:

The product can be cleaned with a Marine Wash/Wax or in case of stains a mild abrasive cleaner such as JIF can be used.

We do not recommended cleaning with thinners, Petrol or Solvents.

Gunwale caps are designed to fit over gunwale rubber. They are a convenient way to hide and tidy up ends and joins in the gunwale. The gunwale corner and end caps are designed to fit over the gunwale strip and be screwed or fixed into place to make a neat corner/end joint.

What type of gunwale caps are available?

Rubber Online offers two options for gunwale caps: 316 stainless steel caps or plastic caps.
